You have no idea how excited i am to actually be putting our plans into motion. We've been talking about this since practically the day we met. She was in 7th grade, i was in 6th. It's been probably the biggest dream of mine since i can remember.

I've been mapping out some routes for us to take, though absolutely nothing is set in stone. They're more like...guidelines. These are the places we have to go, and stop, and see. The rest will be looking at maps and winging it.

We're starting to make lists of things we need, and of course get our money situation in order. We've got quite a while to go yet, but we'll get there. I know we will. In this endeavor, we cannot fail!

001 - First, test test test... get ready, get set...

M:: First post ever! Just a quick test paragraph… So we sat around tonight, making plans and lists and going over what we want out of this trip, and what we need to do to get the ball rolling. I’ve got a lot of research and planning to do, and I’m pretty wired, even though it’s late, so I’m going to get cracking on as much as I can before I have to crash for the night. So far, what I really want to focus on, is getting as much preemptive work done; looking at interest rates, tons of research on the places we know we want to go to, finding more out about other people’s experiences with road tripping… she’s more focused on the actual route we want to take and things like that, but I want to get all the things to get us there taken care of as best as I can. I have a lot of ideas, and a lot of things to do. I’m more excited about this than anything I’ve had going for a while, and this has been our dream for so long… but for the first time, it feels like it might be within our reach, and that’s an astounding feeling… hope. Wish us luck!
